The Mat-Su Small Business Development Center Apr 22 Basic Bookkeeping 9am-3pm $ 50 This workshop is designed to help small business owners understand the number of practical ways to keep sound financial records and discuss how to use that information when making key business decisions. Apr 23 Writing an Effective Business Plan 9am-1pm $ 25 This workshop will cover the basics of writing a business plan and how it can help you focus your business, obtain financing, and keeping your business on track. It is relevant for everybody in business, from the person just planning to start to the seasoned entrepreneur. Apr 24 Small Business Owner Tax Return 9am-4pm $ 50 This IRS workshop is a MUST for every small business owner. It is designed to help self-employed business owners learn more about the tax laws that apply to them. Topics include proper documentation of business income and expenses. Explanations of self-employment tax and estimated tax payment requirements are also included. Apr 29 Beginning QuickBooks (computers provided) 9am-4pm $100 This hands-on (computers provided) workshop will provide information on using QuickBooks software for the beginner using the program for his/her business bookkeeping. Its staff of three professional travel agents is managed by Jeanne Lentz, CTC (certified travel consultant) who has been employed with ABC Travel Time for 26 years this fall.
